12 Years a Slave - Everything You Need for Sunday
Hi Everyone!
Join us for coffee (yes, we'll have coffee!!!), worship, and a fantastic sermon this Sunday. James Wheeler is coming back to share with us. Here is James' introduction:
Mark 5 contains a scripture story that has been often ignored. A woman has been bleeding for 12 years and she desperately reaches out to a local miracle worker named Rabbi Jesus. Jesus is passing through town on another mission of mercy when she interrupts him. If this story of her uncontrollable bleeding makes us uncomfortable, we would get along with traditional Jewish folks. They, too, found blood to be offensive and assumed it made one unclean before God and others. How will Jesus respond to this surprising situation? He will build the kingdom of God in this interaction in a way no one sees coming.

In-person Sunday School!
We have in-person Sunday School, for kids aged 4-12, with our teacher, Jomar Payoyo. Sunday School is held after our worship time.
This Sunday, we will focus on the first part of the first line of the Lord's Prayer: "Our Father". Our Big Idea for the week is this: "God is our protector and provider, and He never gives up on us." We will be going over the Parable of the Prodigal Son and how God is the kind of father who loves us even when we make mistakes.
Also, the first Kids' Club activity of this fall will happen THIS SATURDAY, September 10th, from 4pm to 6pm, here at the church!
