Aleppo

Aleppo

On Sunday, Wendy Lerch (our worship leader) said to me:

Sometimes we lament on behalf of others and grieve with them even when it isn't our pain. (or something like that)

As I was reading Lamentations I realized that it may not be our voice. It is a lament of a people who lost their city. I've never lost my city.

Lamentations gives us the voices of refugees who are going through a very similar situation as the time of Lamentations. Listening can lead us to compassion. Can you hear the voices of today's refugee's in Lamentations?

Also, we discuss some exciting information about our next steps for us in helping a refugee family.
