Reading Through The New Testament In 2016. Day 150. 2 Corinthians 2


Paul here starts to address Corinth specific problems. 3 things specifically in this chapter: The church thought he was mad at them, there was apparently a man so sinful the didn’t know how to deal with him, and the church thought it was looked down about from the outside world.

All three of these things have a common thread, being overly concerned about what people think about them. Each time Paul assures them that they are loved. Firstly by him, then by God, then by all things good.

I definitely have a problem with being overly critical of myself and letting that get the better of me, creating these views of things that are wholly negative. Paul says to trust that the love of God permeates through creation, especially His church.
