Christmas Eve and Sunday's Service - All You'll Need To Know!

Christmas Eve is tomorrow!

I always loved December 23rd as a kid, I would proclaim it the Eve of Christmas Eve. The anticipation as was electric, and I still feel it right now,

We have two services this week and we would love for you to join. First things first: SARX: A Canyon Creek Christmas Eve Candlelight Service begins at 5:30pm tomorrow on Zoom and Facebook Live.

We're having a special video of our Sunday school kids created by our fantastic Sunday school leader, Ella, we'll also have our worship leaders collaborating together leading us in Christmas carols, we'll be hearing the Christmas story read to us by each other, lighting the last Advent Candle and I (Justin) will be bringing a special Christmas Eve message.

And of course, we'll end the night by singing Silent Night by Candlelight.

The service is for everyone! So feel free to invite friends and family to join us! And unlike any other year, geography doesn't matter. So invite your friends and family around the world to join us.

What Will You Need?

Just a cozy space with those you live with, a candle or candles, or next to your Christmas tree. We want to close the service to the warm light of candles or Christmas lights.

Sunday Morning's Worship Service

The Sunday after Christmas is a unique one. We're still a bit in Advent, and a bit looking forward to the new year. With such a different kind of year I've decided to have a different kind of service.

Friends of ours recently introduced us to a beautiful Christmas story about a 4th wise man going searching for Jesus and who he encounters on the way. It's a cartoon and is made for all ages, but by the end I had a tear falling down my face. It suddenly became a Christmas classic and I figured, why don't we spend the Sunday after Christmas watching it together?

The cartoon is called "The Fourth King" and has a runtime of about 25min. It's a perfect movie to close our advent season whether you are watching with your kids, or you're a mature adult watching from the warmth of a couch and blanket.

So, on Sunday we will gather on Zoom, have a time to greet one another, watch the movie, then a we will close with prayer for one another.

Don't bother changing out of your Pj's, grab a coffee or hot chocolate and cozy up with your church on Sunday!

I can't wait.

How to join on Sunday

Click this link on Sunday at 10:30am to join the Zoom call: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83477592554

For those that can only join by phone, I apologize that this Sunday is more visual than normal. But we would still love to have you listening along with us and at the very least saying hi at the beginning of the service: Dial +1 587 328 1099 Meeting ID: 834 7759 2554

There will be no Sunday school as the service is great for all ages. (especially for kids!)

That's it for this week! I hope this week is full of Christ and His hope, love and peace. I pray these services add more and more love to your Christmas season, and I can't wait to see you soon online!

Justin
