Dear John, What do we do when we are disappointed in God? - Everything You Need for Sunday
This week we dive into Matthew 14:1-12. Jesus’ cousin, John, is beheaded in prison by Herod. What a horrible end to the one who was the forerunner of Christ. Do you ever wonder why Jesus let this happen? What do you think? Was John totally disappointed in Jesus? Or was there something else?
This Sunday we’ll talk about those moments when God disappoints us, and what to do when that happens. Looking forward to it!

In-person Sunday School!
We have in-person Sunday School for kids aged 4-12 with our amazing teacher, Alissa! Sunday School will be held after our worship time.
This weekend in Sunday School we will be looking at the story of when Jesus shared a meal with his disciples, the tax-collectors, and others who were looked down upon at the time. When the Pharisees ask Jesus why he would eat with such people, He says that He loves those who recognize and own their mistakes, not those who are too proud to admit them. This is a story that teaches us to be welcoming, respectful, and show love to everyone around us. My hope is that the kids will learn to see others as people who Jesus loves just the same as them!
If you have any questions, or if there is any way that Alissa can support your family in discipling your children at home, please contact her at email@example.com.
That's all you need to know for this Sunday. May God richly bless you as we worship together this Sunday!
