Is Jesus a Jerk? - Everything You Need for Sunday
Every once in a while we encounter a scripture that is perplexing, perhaps even troubling. I say this with no exaggeration. This Sunday we will read one of the most difficult stories about Jesus in the gospels. It comes to us in Matthew 15:21-28. Jesus just seems to act out of character for a moment (it’s the only story where Jesus isn’t really the hero in the story). I love perplexing stories in the Bible, because they make us ask questions and wonder why things happen. Matthew wanted us to read this story for a reason, so let’s find out what it is! I’m excited to dig into this with you all and find out what that reason might be!

In-person Sunday School!
We have in-person Sunday School for kids aged 4-12 with our amazing teacher, Alissa! Sunday School will be held after our worship time.
This morning in Sunday school we will be talking about the story of the lost sheep! I think this story is so important because it teaches us that Jesus goes after the one who is lost. I hope that our kids know they are so loved and deemed worthy by Christ that He would go looking for them no matter what, so we’ll be talking about how valuable they are to Jesus, and also how important it is for us to go after the ones who are lost or alone too.
If you have any questions, or if there is any way that Alissa can support your family in discipling your children at home, please contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
That's all you need to know for this Sunday. May God richly bless you as we worship together this Sunday!
