Jesus and the Problem of Not Suffering - Everything You Need for Sunday

Hi Everyone!

There’s a special worship service planned this Sunday! Have you ever recited the Apostles' Creed? It dates back to the fourth century and is a statement of belief that is meant to unite Christians all over the world in what we believe. One thing people notice is that there’s not much there about Jesus’ actual life and teachings. Just one line: "He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried”. That’s it! However, what if there is more in that line that describes how to live as a Christian today than we realize? I’ve invited Jon Coutts, the Assistant Professor of Christian Theology at Ambrose University, to share with us exactly that. He’s one of my favourite people, and I can’t wait to introduce you all to him!

How to Join Us on Sunday at 10:30 am

  1. In-Person: All are welcome to join us at 333 Midpark Way in a full-sized school gym.

In-person Sunday School!

We have in-person Sunday School for kids aged 4-12 with our amazing teacher, Alissa! Sunday School will be held after our worship time.

This weekend in Sunday School, we are talking about the Great Commission! The verses Matthew 28:19-20 are so important to our faith! According to Matthew, these are the final words of Jesus when He appeared to the disciples. He makes our mission clear- go tell people about Him! I want to impress upon our kiddos the courage to talk about what they believe in, but also the importance of relationships in this mission. What a special task this is that Jesus left for us!

If you have any questions, or if there is any way that Alissa can support your family in discipling your children at home, please contact her at canyoncreek.churchoffice@gmail.com.

God bless,

Justin
