Jesus The Prince of (Not) Peace - Everything You Need To Know For Sunday
Hi Everyone!
We're in a short series called "The Difficult Words of Jesus" and this Sunday, in my opinion, we look at Jesus' most controversial teaching he ever made. He tells us He didn't come to bring peace but a sword, and to turn families against each other. (yes, He really said that). I invite you to join me in discovering why Jesus would speak like this, and what we need to learn from it by wrestling with these difficult words. As always, on the other side of the wrestling, we might have a limp, but we always walk away knowing a more beautiful Lord. I look forward doing that with you on Sunday!
For the remainder of April we will be having both online and in person options to participate in the service. Starting in May we will be transitioning into a 2 weeks only online, and 2 weeks with an in person option as well as an online option. We're also planning on trying out an outdoor option once a month as well. More details to come in the next few weeks!

Sunday's Worship Service - 10:30am
In Person: We will have our gym open and available for those who would like to join in person. We follow all AHS guidelines for religious gatherings which means we don't go over 15% of fire code capacity which is 80 people (and we have yet to come close to exceeding, so don't worry about there not being space for you), we wear masks for the whole duration of the service and can provide you one if you don't have one, and we sit safely distanced from one another. There is no child care offered at the moment, but children are welcome as long as they can respect the restrictions of masks and distance. There's a playground on the premises that you can take your kids to play on as well.
Online: We also offer a Zoom option as well. This option is for you if you're showing any symptoms, have been in contact with any positive people in the past 14 days, or if you are just more comfortable staying at home. We often have worship being led from Zoom, our announcements from Zoom, and many others join on Zoom. So you will not feel like you are missing community, as there are lots of people like you that join us online! And you can join from anywhere on the planet! We also offer a special Zoom call for kids ages 4-12 at 9:45am on Sunday morning. You just have to get the set-up on Zoom, print out the colouring sheet, and we will take it from there!
