Love Anyway - Everything You Need for Sunday
Hi Everyone! What is God like? Is God angry with you? Disappointed? Is God petty? I’m so grateful to get into Jesus’ parables this week because Jesus is revealing to us through these stories what God is like. On Sunday, we begin with the parable of a farmer who sows seed on all types of different soil. Next week, we’ll talk about the soil, but this week I want to focus on what Jesus is telling us about The Father. The farmer that has such abundance that he just throws seeds onto rocky, weed-infested, dry soil. Either this is a really ignorant farmer, or a farmer with so much hope, and so much abundance, that he doesn’t mind giving even to the places where it isn’t received. This is a God with a huge heart. Can’t wait to talk about how Jesus sees His Father with you all!

In-person Sunday School!
We have in-person Sunday School for kids aged 4-12 with our amazing teacher, Alissa! Sunday School will be held after our worship time.
This weekend in Sunday School we are going to talk about what happened when the Israelites finally entered the Promised Land many many years later. We will talk about the Law and the Ten Commandments too. God had a special plan for His people, and all of these things, from the allotment of land, to the role of the Temple, to all the information Moses received on the mountain were part of His plan. We will look at how all those rules were actually to bring the people one step closer to God, even if they weren’t perfect. The Law can be really complicated and boring to read, but it actually tells the story of how much God loves His people in that He went to great effort to keep them safe and healthy!
If you have any questions, or if there is any way that Alissa can support your family in discipling your children at home, please contact her at canyoncreek.churchoffice@gmail.com.
That's all you need to know for this Sunday. May God richly bless you as you worship together this Sunday!
God bless,
Justin
