She Had a Name - Everything You Need for Sunday
It’s Mother’s Day this Sunday, and we’ll be having a light breakfast for everyone as a way to celebrate the motherly love of God! We’ll also be looking at a mother in the Bible. She was a gentile widow that was starving due to a famine. For some reason, a prophet of Yahweh comes to her and saves her life. But, why her? Even Jesus noticed how surprising it is that of all the widows in Israel, God sees this one way up in the gentile territory. We serve a God who sees the unseen and names the nameless.
We will also celebrate Communion, so be sure to have some elements ready if you are joining via Zoom!

In-person Sunday School!
We have in-person Sunday School for kids aged 4-12 with our amazing teacher, Alissa! Sunday School will be held after our worship time.
This weekend in Sunday School, I wanted to look at the story of Jesus appearing to the disciples on the beach. To me, this is one of the most relational moments of the gospels. Jesus appears to the men and sits on the beach waiting for them. When they realize it's Him, some of them jump out of the boat and swim to Him! Then, Jesus simply cooks them breakfast and spends time with them. He tells them how to show their love for Him in the world by caring for His flock. What a special moment to be a part of!
If you have any questions, or if there is any way that Alissa can support your family in discipling your children at home, please contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
