Unable - Everything You Need for Sunday
Hi Everyone!
This Sunday, we read a story about a boy with epilepsy and his desperate father. The disciples aren’t able to heal the boy. They’re trying, but nothing is happening. It isn’t until Jesus arrives that the boy is healed. Matthew tells us the disciples were “unable” to do it. The word “unable” is used three times in this story. Jesus says it’s because they have little faith, but then He says that if you have faith as small as a mustard seed you can move mountains. So, the problem is little faith, but also the solution? Strange right?

In-person Sunday School!
We have in-person Sunday School for kids aged 4-12 with our amazing teacher, Alissa! Sunday School will be held after our worship time.
This week in Sunday school we are starting a summer series I’m calling, “Why Do Christians Say That??” For those who don’t know, I didn’t actually become a Christian until I was about 14! When I started going to church there were these words or sayings people would use like ‘Hallelujah,’ or ‘the Body of Christ,’ or ‘How’s your relationship with God going?’ that I had never heard before! In passing, I could pick up on the context of what they were saying or asking, but I never really thought about what they meant. I think even kids who grow up in the church hear these kinds of things every week but never really know what they mean! So we’re going to talk about some of them! This week we’re going to talk about what it means to be in community/partake in fellowship at church!
If you have any questions, or if there is any way that Alissa can support your family in discipling your children at home, please contact her at canyoncreek.churchoffice@gmail.com.
God bless,
Justin
