Why is it so Easy to Miss the Point - Everything You Need for Sunday
Hi Everyone!
Have you noticed how easy it can be to miss the point in religion? Like, really, really easy. Sometimes it’s either an excuse to be a sinner without the guilt, or you’ve really got your life together and you begin to feel self-righteousness about it. In our scripture for Sunday, we see that Jesus calls us to do something really, really amazing. He wants us to get the point, not just check things off a list. Wouldn’t Christianity grow and thrive if more of us stopped to grasp what it is all about so we don’t get so lost in the mire of missing the point.

In-person Sunday School!
We have in-person Sunday School for kids aged 4-12 with our amazing teacher, Alissa! Sunday School will be held after our worship time.
This morning in Sunday school we are looking at the story of the Good Samaritan! This is such a classic story that teaches us how important it is to be loving and welcoming to all. Isn’t it crazy how the religious leaders were the ones to pass the injured man by? It was the Samaritan who extended love not because of what class or religion he held, but because it was the right thing to do and it was his character. I hope to teach our kiddos that love for others has no boundaries. We should be willing to help and be kind to people no matter who we are OR who they are. That’s what it means to be like Jesus!
